The annual observance of the International Day of Persons With Disabilities (IDPWD) was proclaimed in 1992 by United Nations General Assembly resolution 47/3. It aims to promote the rights and wellbeing of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, and to increase awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
Building on many decades of the UN’s work in the field of disability, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, adopted in 2006, has further advanced the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and other international development frameworks, such as the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, the Charter on Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action, the New Urban Agenda, and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda on Financing for Development.
On Tuesday 3rd December 2021, Auctus Management Group Ltd, and its subsidiary business RSS Infrastructure Ltd and INFRA Skills Ltd, showed their support to IDPWD 2021 in their numerous offices across the UK, with all staff members able to communicate Disability related facts, figures and educational material, as well as the opportunity to receive advice and guidance to any staff member looking for personal and professional support. As a Disability Confident Leader and ENEI TIDE Silver Award holder, the company aims to be at the forefront of bringing new and capable workers into the rail and civils sectors, and to ensure that they build new strategies into their daily functions, where all people are treated with respect, treated equally and all have access to the same opportunities.
To meet the challenges in an ever-expanding industry, and with an increasing aging workforce, the sector calls for organisations, companies and individuals who strive at bringing new and capable employees. Auctus Management Group is at the heart of this evolvement, with all Group companies determined to ensure that they build new strategies into their daily functions, where all people are treated with respect, treated equally and all have access to the same opportunities.
