RSS Infrastructure (RSSI), a leading supplier of infrastructure services, are excited to announce they are now the proud sponsor of Sedgley & Gornal United FC Under 7’s South Team. RSSI actively support the corporate and social responsibility agenda, and are especially keen to develop strong working links with local community engagement initiatives.
Formed in 2018, following the merger of Sedgley Scorpions FC. and Gornal Colts FC., Sedgley & Gornal FC. U7’s South are honoured to have RSS Infrastructure as their first team sponsor. This local Charter Standard Junior Football Club, have been actively promoting the sport since 2001 within the surrounding community. This involved creating, and now maintaining, their Junior Football Academy. Providing an introduction into the sport for the younger generation, they have successfully started and developed in excess of 20 teams over the last 10 years, all starting at U7’s.
Affiliated to Birmingham County FA., they have an objective to coach and develop additional teams in the foreseeable future through their academy. With plans in place to continually evolve their club to a Charter Standard Community Club, they will be working with local schools and groups to provide supporting activities for the community for all ages.
RSSI are to be featured on the Club’s team strip and jackets, having sponsored a total of £560.00, this will provide all the children on the team with their own club strip and jacket. The current arrangements are that the team, managed and coached by Ian Longmore, will wear these for the next 2 years; at all Walsall League match’s, and to represent the Club at tournaments.
